Gets more power.

The Aprilia RSV4 RR has been unveiled alongside the new Tuono V4 1100 RR at the EICMA 2014 and the litre class superbike incorporates numerous changes.

Although the RSV4 RR looks pretty similar to the current RSV4 on a quick first glance, the new bike comes with visual enhancements such as redesigned front fairing with new headlamps, LED running lights and new mirrors with integrated LED turn signals.

The 999.6 cc V4 liquid-cooled motor now produces a colossal 201 PS (198.1 bhp) at 13,250 rpm which is 17 PS more than the current RSV4. The engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox develops a peak torque of 115 Nm at 10,500 rpm.

The extra performance has been squeezed out by the usage of new airbox, revised intake ducts, throttle bodies, 8 injectors and the latest version of the fly-by-wire technology. Three riding modes are on offer - Track, Sport and Race.

The skeleton is an aluminium dual-beam structure with pressed and cast sheet elements. Fully adjustable Sachs front fork (inverted) and rear monoshock handle the suspension duty. A Brembo brake system and Bosch ABS help tame the trackbred beast.

The comprehensive Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) which includes Traction Control, Launch Control and Wheelie Control is offered as a standard fitment.

A limited edition Aprilia RSV4 RF with Superpole livery will also be on offer. Limited to just 400 units, the RF variant will come with a standard 'Race Pack' which adds lighter wheels and an Ohlins suspension system.
