Aprilia SR 150 scooter - Auto Expo 2016
Piaggio India has unveiled the Aprilia SR 150 scooter for the Indian market at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016. This is the first scooter under the Aprilia brand in India, and it will be locally manufactured and launched in the market this year.
The premium-looking scooter features a 150 cc engine. Termed the "sports-scooter" bike, the SR 150 has been designed - the company says - to reflect the vehicle's multiple features. The "beak" at the front of the bike in a console that also houses the headlamps is said to showcase the scooter's off-roading capabilities.
The SR 150 comes with a disc brake setup at the front and drum brake at the rear, featuring metallic black alloy wheels. At the front is a standard telescopic suspension, while the rear gets a single-side coilspring. While the headlamps, as mentioned earlier, are integrated into the cowl of the fascia, the indicators have been positioned on the handlebar.
The scooter also gets an underseat storage compartment, twin-circle analog instrument cluster, alloy grab handles for the pillion and a flat footbed for the rider.
