Aston Martin Vantage GT3 special edition debuts at Geneva 2015 - IAB Report

Features mechanical and visual upgrades.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 special edition has been revealed ahead of its public premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This is the other new exhibit besides the announced Vulcan.

Limited to 100 copies, the new model is the "most performance focused road-going Vantage" says the company.

The GT3 special edition develops 600 PS, and is 100 kg lighter than the standard Vantage.

The car is powered by the same 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 600 PS, while the weight has been reduced by 100 kg (at 1,565 kg) compared to the standard V12 Vantage S.

Re-engineered and restyled, the GT3-inspired special edition sits lower and wider, with broader tracks and is shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. External enhancements include carbon fiber bonnet, door casings and wings.

Carbon fiber is used extensively in the interior on the center stack and seats, while an aero pack adds a prominent rear wing and front splitter for better downforce, grip and stability.

Carbon fiber is used extensively, and makes up the seats and the center stack.

Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer, said -

The Vantage GT3 special edition is an uncompromising example of our design and engineering expertise and I’m sure the 100 owners who secure one of these cars will savour every second behind the wheel; whether on the road or on the track.
