Audi reveals compact SUV coupe concept; Debuts at Detroit

Audi has released sketches of their new 'Show Car' debuting at the Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) which commences for the media on January 13th, 2014.

The concept previews the future design of Audi sportscars.

The concept does not have a name and Audi simply refers to it as their Show Car. The Show Car is basically a two-door compact SUV coupe, which could preview a future member in the 'Q' range. However, its more likely that the concept shows Audi's new design language, which will first be seen on the next generation Q7.

To quote Audi, the Show Car "combines a host of visual elements from future sports car models with the Audi-typical allroad concept and independent Shooting Brake body form". What this means is that the concept could also show a few design highlights that would be seen on the next generation TT, or maybe even the new R8.

Measuring 4.2 meters long, Audi will show the car with 19-inch wheels.

The company has not released much in terms of technical specifications. We don't know what the Show Car will be powered by, but we do know that the concept is 4.2 meters in length and sits on 19-inch wheels. Audi says that the overhangs will be kept short, and the roofline will be pretty low.
