Pune-based Autologue Design is working on ways of giving the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 an even enhanced cafe racer persona with a semi-fairing design and a pillion seat cowl. The design is almost final and Continental GT 650 owners can soon purchase the semi-fairing from the brand.

Autologue Design may soon offer a semi-fairing for the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 for even enhanced cafe racer look.

The headlight will require some modification and the illuminator will not move with the handlebar after the fairing is installed. The pillion seat cowl, on the other hand, will directly fit the on the existing saddle. The cowl can be bolted over the pillion seat using an Allen Key. A similar design was used by Bajaj V15's motorcycle.

Autologue Design has also tweaked the side panel with a drill-style design and the rendered motorcycles in the photograph look appealing. The design, as mentioned above, is nearly finalised and we should hear more details from the Pune-based brand very soon. The rendered motorcycles use white paint for the fairing but the company should offer matching colours. Apart from enhancing the styling, the new fairing will offer better aerodynamics and wind protection to the rider.

In more updates, Royal Enfield is updating the ECU of the 650 Twins after some owners complained about the high altitude performance of the motorcycles. The existing owners can get the ECU update from authorised service centres, while the new bikes will roll out from the factory with the latest software.

The revision to the ECU, however, does not affect the power and torque numbers. The 650 Twins' 648 cc, air & oil cooled, parallel twin cylinder, SOHC engine with fuel injection still churns out 47 BHP at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm at 5,250 rpm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from assist/slipper clutch.

IAB imagined the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Classic with a semi-fairing design and this is how it looked.

Royal Enfield is also rumoured to increase the prices of the 650 Twins by INR 20,000. Post the so-said price increase, the most affordable Continental GT 650 will retail at INR 2.85 lakh*, while the most affordable Interceptor INT 650 will cost INR 2.70 lakh*. Even then, the Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650 will remain the most affordable 650 cc motorcycles in our market.
