According to a market analyst, the company is aiming to grow by 20 percent year-on-year in the second half of this fiscal. The previous year’s sales have been dented reportedly by demonetisation, and the transition of BS-III to BS-IV emission norms.
In the first half of this financial year, Bajaj launched multiple products like the Pulsar NS160 in June; Matte Black colour variant of the Bajaj Dominar 400 in July; Electric Start variant of Bajaj CT 100, and Platina ES in August; Pulsar NS200 with single channel ABS in September, and the refreshed Platina Comfortec this month.
To exploit the mid-capacity segment, the company has joined hands with Triumph, and the co-developed bikes will be launched in three years. The development of the motorcycles are already underway.
Bajaj is also planning to export its current flagship product, the Dominar 400 to countries like UK, Poland, Czech and Australia. This month, Bajaj also beat Eicher Motors in market capitalisation.
