Bajaj Dominar 400 confirmed to launch on December 15
Bajaj confirms their upcoming sports cruiser to be Bajaj Dominar 400.
Putting all speculations to rest Bajaj has officially confirmed that the much talked about motorcycle, the Bajaj Dominar 400, based on the Pulsar CS400 concept, will be launched in India on December 15, 2016.
With a Ducati Diavel inspired low-slung stance, the Bajaj Dominar 400 gets LED headlamps and taillamps. While not a true blue cruiser, the bike can be expected to have a forward biased seating and footpeg position. It also gets a split grab rail and the rest of the tail section also seems to have been carried over from the concept. ABS will be optional.
The fuel tank has been chiselled for the rider to lock his legs on the motorcycle. The split instrumentation console is all-digital. The bike is suspended on traditional telescopic forks.
Mr Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business Bajaj Auto, said:
We are delighted to announce the name of the most anticipated brand from the Bajaj Auto stable. The Dominar 400 has already created lot of excitement amongst bikers, which is befitting for what’s going to be one of the most path breaking products in the history of the Indian motorcycle industry.
Powering the bike is the mill borrowed from the KTM Duke 390 whose output figure was leaked earlier to be 35 PS at 8,000 rpm. Production of the Bajaj Dominar 400 began on November 18, 2016.
