Bajaj Pulsar 160NS spied in India for first time

The Bajaj Pulsar 160NS was first showcased at a dealer meet in Turkey last December.

The newly unveiled Bajaj Pulsar 160NS has been spotted in India for the first time by a BikeAdvice reader. The camouflaged motorcycle’s under-engine cowl’s and the rear drum brake confirms the motorcycle's identity.

The Bajaj Pulsar 160NS gets a new 160.3 cc mill producing 15.5 PS of power and 14.6 Nm of torque.

The wider crankcase cover also adds mettle to the belief that this is the Bajaj Pulsar 160NS and not the Pulsar 150NS.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 160NS is a 160.3 cc oil-cooled, single cylinder mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 15.5 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. In comparison, the Pulsar 150NS has an output of 17 PS and 13 Nm.

The Bajaj Pulsar 160NS will be competing against the Honda CB Hornet, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ v2.0, if launched in India.

Bajaj is yet to confirm the Bajaj Pulsar 160NS for the Indian market. If introduced, the motorcycle will be a competing against the Yamaha FZ v2.0, Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet.
