The Bajaj Pulsar 180F was launched in India in March this year at an ex-showroom price INR 87,450 in Delhi. Surprisingly, the motorcycle did not receive the safety net of ABS. As reported earlier, the bike is called Pulsar 180 Neon on the company's website. However, the rear panel of the motorcycle features the 180F tag.

Bajaj Auto introduced the Pulsar 180F without ABS to offer the motorcycle at competitive rates for as long as possible. With the new safety norms in effect from April 1, 2019, it is only a matter of time before the company makes an announcement about the availability of the Pulsar 180F ABS. Similar to the company’s most of the product portfolio, the Pulsar 180F gets a single-channel ABS along with a Rear Lift-off Protection (RLP). The standard Pulsar 180 has already received the ABS upgrade, and the motorcycle has started to arrive at select dealerships.

Apart from the addition of ABS, the motorcycle will continue to feature the same specifications and styling as the non-ABS model. The bike can be purchased in two colour options – Neon Orange and Neon Red. The Pulsar 180F Neon Orange features a matte finish while the Neon Red gets a glossy look. The contrasting highlights (orange/red) are seen on the fairing, Pulsar logo, side panels, 180F badge and on the wheels. The Pulsar 220F inspired styling includes a vertically stacked headlight, semi-fairing design and fairing mounted rear view mirrors.

Mechanical specifications are almost identical to the standard Pulsar 180 although the 180F is listed with a 4-valve engine on Bajaj’s website. The performance numbers, however, remain unaltered from the naked roadster variant and the 178.6cc, air-cooled DTS-i motor continues to deliver a maximum power of 17.02 PS at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.22 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
