Bajaj Pulsar 180F launched in India at INR 87,450
Bajaj Auto has announced the price for the Pulsar 180F. The semi-faired 180, which draws styling cues from the Pulsar 220F, can be purchased for INR 87,450 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle is titled Pulsar 180 Neon on the company’s website, but the rear panel features the 180F tag. Surprisingly, the bike still does not feature ABS even as the deadline to comply with the upcoming safety norms is less than three weeks away.

Bajaj Auto probably plans to offer the Pulsar 180F at competitive rates for as long as possible before introducing ABS to the motorcycle. The addition of ABS, similar to the rest of the Pulsar portfolio, would witness an increment of approximately INR 7,000. The Pulsar 180F would receive a single-channel ABS along with a Rear Lift-off Protection (RLP). It should be noted that the standard Pulsar 180 has already got the ABS upgrade.
As reported, the Bajaj Pulsar 180F has already started to arrive at the dealerships. While Bajaj’s website lists the motorcycle in just one colour option – Neon Orange – the Pulsar 180F was also seen in Neon Red paint scheme at a showroom. The Pulsar 180F Neon Orange colour option gets a matte grey base paint with orange highlights on the fascia, fairing, Pulsar logo on the fuel tank, side panels, 180F badge on the rear panels and on the wheels. The Pulsar 180F features vertically stacked headlight with DRLs on the sides and fairing mounted rear view mirrors.
Mechanical specifications remain identical to the standard Pulsar 180. A 178.6cc 2-valve, air-cooled DTS-i motor that delivers 17 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.22 Nm at 6,500 rpm perform propelling tasks. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

Stopping power comes from a 260 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the back. The safety net of ABS, as mentioned above, is yet to be added to the motorcycle although the braking setup benefits from steel-braided lines for enhanced stopping power. Conventional telescopic forks at the front and five-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorber at the rear perform suspension duties.
