Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS caught testing in India - Spied
An adventure touring variant to the Pulsar 200 lineup.
Images of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS being tested under full camouflage have surfaced in India, which is a strong indication that the bike is closing in on its launch.
Whether it would be launched alongside the Pulsar 200 SS or later is to be seen, but it implies that Bajaj, like every international manufacturer, could start offering a naked, street and racing variant of its motorcycles.
Mechanically, the Pulsar 200 AS would be no different from the 200 NS or the SS, we presume. It would carry the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder engine that would produce an estimated 24.5 bhp of power and 18 Nm of torque transferred to the wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
Cosmetically the Pulsar 200 AS would be getting a semi-fairing and a single projector headlight for the high beam, while the low beam would continue to be a standard halogen, as observed from the spyshots.

Currently, there is no indication regarding the launch dates for the Pulsar adventure tourer, but Bajaj has confirmed 6 launches this year. As for its price, the 200 AS could cost somewhere between the 200 NS and the SS models, approximately INR 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
