Bajaj Auto has added a new colour option to the Pulsar 220F - Volcanic Red. The Pulsar 220F in the new colour option costs the same as in the existing colour options - INR 1,07,027*.

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F Volcanic Red features a matte paint job with highlights of black and orange.

The Volcanic Red paint features a matte finish along with highlights of black and orange colour. The black and orange highlights are visible on the front fender, either side of the fairing, engine cowl and the rear panel. The wheels, too, have rim stripes. The changes are limited to visual upgrades. Apart from the Volcanic Red colour option, the palette continues to feature Black Blue and Black Red paint themes.

The motorcycle continues to use the BS-IV compliant 220 cc oil-cooled, twin-spark motor with carburettor system that produces 20.93 PS of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 18.55 Nm of maximum torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox. Anchoring tasks are performed by a 260 mm disc and a 230 mm unit at the front and the back respectively. The braking hardware works with a single-channel ABS and Rear Lift-off Protection (RLP) technology.

Shock absorption department features conventional forks at the front and five-step adjustable, Nitrox suspension at the back. Other key features on the Pulsar 220F include projector-style headlights, semi-fairing design, semi-digital instrument console (analogue tachometer), split-style seats and LED taillight.

In other updates, Bajaj Auto has revised the prices of its entire portfolio. The Pulsar 220F has received a marginal increase of INR 499 on the ex-showroom tag, bringing the price to INR 1,07,027* as against INR 1,06,528* before.

Volcano Red retails at the same price tag as rest of the paint options - INR 1,07,027*.

After introducing a new paint option for the highest displacement Pulsar model, Bajaj Auto will launch a new entry-level variant with a 125 cc engine to the range this month. The Indian-spec Pulsar 125 will look identical to the Pulsar 150 range and feature muscular styling. Engine specifications on the Pulsar 125 will match the numbers on the Pulsar 135. Thus, the 125 cc air-cooled engine with twin-spark technology should deliver 13.68 PS of power and 12 Nm of torque. The motor will send power to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox. Bajaj will most likely introduce the Pulsar 125 with Combined Braking System (CBS) to keep the final prices competitive.
