Bajaj plans on exporting the V15 from next fiscal.

According to a report on Autocar Professional, the Bajaj V has received over 10,000 bookings, and the manufacturer now plans on increasing production to cater to the rising demand. Deliveries of the Bajaj V started on March 23, coinciding with Martyrs' Day.

The Bajaj V is powered by the 150 cc DTS-i engine.

The Bajaj V is currently produced at the manufacturer's Pantnagar and Waluj plants. Over 2,500 units of the motorcycle were made last month with a plan of selling 50,000 units in the next 18 months. However, Bajaj is hoping to increase production to 1,000 units a day.

Bajaj has priced the V (V15) at INR 61,999, ex-Showroom, New Delhi and INR 62,820 ex-Showroom, Mumbai. However, sales of the Bajaj V are banned in New Delhi as the motorcycle is only BS-3 compliant (a new ruling dictates new two-wheelers to be BS-4 compliant to be eligible for registration in Delhi).

Deliveries of the Bajaj V commenced on Martyrs' Day.

Power for the motorcycle comes from a 149.5 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with DTS-i technology, capable of 11.8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 13 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Aside from selling it in the domestic market, Bajaj also plans on exporting the V15 to markets in Africa, Latin America. West Asia and Turkey next financial year.
