Bajaj V's platform could spawn new models - Report
Depends on the success of the V15.
Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto has told Business Standard “We always say we design platform(s). So every platform is capable of more than one product but for now there is only one product." The publication reports that the success of the Bajaj V will influence the development of future variants on its platform.
The Bajaj V is priced at INR 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which falls in the price range of 125 cc motorcycles in India. This makes the V one of the most affordable 150 cc motorcycles in the country alongside the Bajaj Discover 150. The company has two more 150 cc offerings namely the Pulsar 150 and the Avenger 150 Street. The V is positioned above the Discover as a 'high power commuter bike'. Any future variant of the Bajaj V is said to carry the styling cues of this first model just like the case of the Discover, Pulsar and Avenger variants.
