2017 Benelli TNT 15 to get a dual-spark, liquid-cooled engine
Benelli TNT 15 at present is sold with an air-cooled mill.
Benelli continues teasing their upcoming 150 cc motorcycle in social media. The 2017 Benelli TNT 15 will get a brand new powerplant which is not the one seen in the newly launched Benelli RFS150i.
As per the information released by Benelli, their next launch will be the new 2017 Benelli TNT 15 and will get a dual spark, four-valve, liquid-cooled mill. While output figures have not been revealed, they will be higher than the 12.24 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque produced by the present generation 148 cc mill.
The images and teaser video released so far also confirm that the 2017 Benelli TNT 15 will be sportier than the outgoing model in terms of looks. Features will include upside down front forks, petal disc all around, new all-digital LCD instrumentation and LED pilot lamp.
The 2017 Benelli TNT 15 though might continue with a 5-speed gearbox to keep costs under check. The tyres can be expected to be wider which will lend the rider more confidence while charging through the corners.
There has been no official confirmation of DSK Benelli’s plans to launch the Benelli TNT 15 in India. The motorcycle though will be a great offering against the likes of the Yamaha FZ FI and Suzuki Gixxer if priced competitively.
