Benelli Tornado 302R - Thai Motor Expo Live

Benelli has displayed the Tornado 302R at the 2016 Thai Motor Expo. Showcased for the first time at EICMA 2015, the faired pocket rocket picks up the fight against established competition, the Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Powering the Benelli Tornado 302R is a 300 cc inline twin cylinder, DOHC mill borrowed from the Benelli TNT 300S. It churns out 35.3 PS of maximum power at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Benelli Tornado 302R is built on a steel trellis frame. The front wheel gets 110/70-17 section tyre with 260 mm twin petal disc and four piston callipers. The rear gets a single 240 mm disc and single piston floating calliper with 150/60-17 profile tyres. ABS will be present as an option. The Benelli Tornado 302R gets split seats with clip on handlebars, and the fuel tank can store 14 liters.

The front suspension gets 41 mm upside down front forks while the rear gets a mono shock setup. The Benelli Tornado 302R measures 2,157 mm in length, 746 mm in width and 1,146 mm in height. The seat height is 790 mm while the ground clearance is 180 mm. The kerb weight for the ABS variant is 180 kg.
