Could share powertrain with the K 1600 GT.

BMW Motorrad is reportedly working on an all-new motorcycle. The online portal, Motorrad has made a rendering of the bike while the engine figures and other details remain a mystery.

The superbike in question could be called the BMW K 1600R.

The community believes that the bike would come as a K 1600R that would unfold a new chapter in the modern day superbike philosophy. The machine is rumored to get a six-cylinder motor and might share its powertrain with the K 1600 GT.

As already mentioned, the bike will hopefully come powered by 1,649cc, oil-cooled, six-cylinder engine that does duty on the K 1600 GT. The fuel-injected mill with a 6-speed gearbox is good enough to crank out 160 hp and torque of 175 Nm. The new motorcycle might sit on an aluminium bridge type frame that has been employed in the company’s litre-class S1000R and S1000RR.

The bike could use a similar aluminium frame like the BMW S1000RR in image.
