BMW Motorrad at the Thai Motor Expo has showcased the BMW F800R and BMW R nine T Pure apart from the BMW G310R and S1000 family.

BMW F800R

The BMW F800R is a roadster targeted towards an audience which wants a cocktail of agility and practicality with sportiness. At the heart of the BMW F800R is a 798 cc water cooled inline twin cylinder engine. Coupled with a 6 speed gearbox, which is integrated into the crankcase, the engine is capable of producing 90 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 86 Nm of peak torque at 5,800 rpm. With a top speed of over 200 kmph, the bike tips the scales at 202 kg.

The BMW F800R is suspended over upside down forks in the front and a mono shock in the rear with hydraulically adjustable spring preload. It is one of the few Beemers to sport a symmetrical headlamp.

The BMW F800R is priced in Thailand at 450,000 Thai baht.

BMW R nine T Pure

The BMW R nine T Pure was unveiled globally at Intermot in October 2016. The bike retains the looks of the original roadster. The Ohlins forks have been ditched for non-adjustable 43 mm traditional fork in the front and a lower spec mono shock in the rear. The heart of the bike is the 1,170 cc flat twin Boxer engine which is capable of producing 110 PS of maximum power at 7,750 rpm and 116 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The gearbox is a six-speed unit with helical gear teeth.

The BMW Motorrad R nine T Pure tips the scale at 219 kg. Braking duties are overseen by twin 320 mm discs in the front with 4 piston callipers and a single 265 mm disc with double-piston floating calliper. The bike gets a circular headlamp with a chrome ring. The classic roadster gets a minimalistic design and will take imagination to the 70s and the 80s.
