The BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS are available at INR 2.99 lakh* and INR 3.49 lakh*. They have been developed in Munich, Germany by BMW Motorrad and are produced by TVS Motor Company in Hosur, India.

Speaking about the outstanding performance during the festive season, Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India, said:

BMW Motorrad has an extremely aspirational and distinguished set of products that have gained immense popularity and trust amongst the motorcycling community in India. Together with highly competitive cost of ownership and steadily expanding outreach throughout the country, BMW Motorrad has created a very strong position for itself in the premium motorcycle segment. All these factors have contributed to the remarkable success of BMW G 310 motorcycles during the festive season exceeding all expectations.

The G 310 duo have been delivering positive performance for the two-wheeler brand ever since they were introduced in 2018. The G 310 R and G 310 GS were among the company’s top five selling models in 2018. BMW Motorrad delivered as many as 24,363 units of the G 310 twins by the end of 2018.

Regular readers would remember that the G 310 R and the G 310 GS share the same underpinnings and engine. The motorcycles are propelled by a 313.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that delivers a maximum power output of 34 hp and a peak torque of 28 Nm. The reverse-inclined mill is linked to a 6-speed transmission. The premium hardware specifications on both motorcycles include adjustable rear mono-shock, inverted front forks, disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard.

The two motorcycles carry completely different styling. The G 310 R naked roadster misses out on windblast protection. The G 310 GS adventure tourer, on the other hand, benefits from a semi-fairing design and a 19-inch front wheel.

The BMW G 310 GS (pictured) adventure tourer retails at INR 3.49 lakh*, while the BMW G 310 R roadster is available at INR 2.99 lakh*.
