Indian Cars Bikes has uploaded over a dozen spyshots of the exterior and interior of the BMW X5M, on Indian soil. Expected to launch this calendar year, the X5M complemented with the X6M will bolster BMW India's M range of high-performance products, which includes the M3, M4, M5 and M6 at the moment.
Power for the X5M (and the X6M) will come from a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine capable of 575 hp between 6,000-6,500 rpm and 750 Nm of torque between 2,200-5,000 rpm, paired to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic driving all wheels.
BMW claims the X5M will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and onwards to an electronically limited top-speed of 250 km/h. The X6M too sports identical performance figures. Both performance SUVs will be kitted with aggressive bumpers with BMW's aero kit, side skirts, quad-exhaust pipes, 20-inch alloy wheels, and M-branded steering wheel, gear lever, carbon-trimmed center console and single-piece sport seats up front.
