Bugatti Chiron technical specs surface, 0-300 km/h in 15 seconds - Report
Will reportedly feature 15 radiators to cool the revised W16 engine.
Thanks to Autogespot's sources who had access to a private preview of the Bugatti Chiron (name unconfirmed) in Dubai, several technical details of the Bugatti Veyron's successor have surfaced online.
The Bugatti Chiron will continue sourcing power from the 8.0-liter W16 engine, albeit thoroughly revised to produce 1,500 PS and 1,500 Nm, paired to a 7-speed double clutch gearbox. The insane power figures will enable the Chiron to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, 0-300 km/h in 15 seconds, before hitting a not-yet-confirmed top speed of 500 km/h.
It is rumored to ride on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PAX tires, while stopping power comes from massive 420 mm front and 400 mm rear brake discs. To cool the revised W16 engine, the Chiron is said to have a whopping 15 radiators.
The exterior design will appear to be a toned down version of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, as seen in our rendering of the hypercar. It is expected to be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show (early March), and production will be limited to 500 units. Apparently, 120 of those units have already been spoken for.
