Paris Live - Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Ettore Bugatti
Last hurrah of the Veyron.
Bugatti unveiled the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Ettore Bugatti special edition at the Volkswagen Group Night, on the eve of the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
First displayed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the special edition is the sixth and last model of the "Les Légendes de Bugatti" series.
Since the car is named after the company's founder, Bugatti has taken every effort to make it the most luxurious and exclusive Veyron to be made. The car has a hand-polished aluminum front-end that has a contrasting look against the dark blue exposed carbon fiber rear-end. The model sits on bespoke alloy wheels and an interior upholstered with natural brown calf leather that gets a platinum-coated dancing elephant emblem.
The Ettore Bugatti Edition is persuaded by a quad-turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine that produces 1,200 PS and 1,500 Nm. Linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and achieves a max speed of 408.84 km/h with its roof down.
Bugatti President Wolfgang Dürheimer finished his presentation tonight saying that the Veyron is on the "finishing straight" and once the 20 remaining units are delivered the "next chapter" will begin.
