Customised Royal Enfield Himalayan in candy red & yellow colours
The stock Royal Enfield Himalayan was retailed only in two colour options, white and black.
A Royal Enfield fan, Pruthu Mehta, has shared images of customised Royal Enfield Himalayans with new glossy colours.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan with yellow paint gets knuckle guard of the same body colour. The exhaust canister remains the same. It also gets a new luggage carrier. The red Royal Enfield Himalayan in glossy red also gets an after-market exhaust. This one though continues to bear the stock rear luggage rack.
The brakes remain the stock with a 300 mm disc up front with a two-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm unit in the rear with a single piston floating caliper. ABS is absent but the Euro 4, fuel injected version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan showcased at EICMA 2016 had one as that is a requisite safety norm for the European Union.
The fuel injected version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan (a test unit of which was spotted recently), with BSIV compliance, has been confirmed to be launching ‘very soon’. The 411 cc Long Stroke engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox which is capable of producing 24.5 bhp of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,250 rpm.
Before being discontinued (temporarily) the Royal Enfield Himalayan (carburetted version) was priced at INR 160,148 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Royal Enfield offers similar vibrant colour options in the Classic range under the 'Redditch' series.
