Chevrolet Spark Activ starts testing in Korea - Spied [Update]
India to get a different model based on the Beat's M300 platform.
A Korean blog named Auto USA has managed to capture the first spyshots of the production-spec Chevrolet Spark Activ in Korea with very minimal camouflage. Given its production-ready looks, it could be launched in Korea this year.
While the test mule appears similar to the Chevrolet Beat Activ, previewed as a concept at the Auto Expo 2016, it has little relation to the car earmarked for India. The Spark Activ is based on the international-spec Chevrolet Spark hatchback, save for the crossover bits such as a silver skid plate, plastic cladding on the bumper, roof rails and rugged-look elements
Inside, the seat cover has the "Activ" branding across the back rest. Otherwise, the interior is also identical to the Spark, featuring Apple CarPlay connectivity through its 7-inch MyLink infotainment system, a heated steering wheel, cruise control and the Corsa’s City-mode Steering system.

The Chevrolet Spark Activ is likely to source the new 1.0 liter Ecotec SGE 3-cylinder engine which delivers 75 hp and 95 Nm of torque. Paired to it is either a 5-speed manual or a C-Tech automatic gearbox.
For the Indian market, GM India will launch the new-generation Chevrolet Beat based on the current generation model's M300 platform. A crossover version of this hatchback, previewed by the Beat Activ concept, will also launch in due course.
