Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be launched in March 2017 - Report [Update - New spyshots]

Update (22/02/2017): A Chevrolet Beat Essential test mule was spied testing by IAB reader Shruchet Jayatheerth on the Mumbai Pune Expressway, featuring a light wrap over the exterior. From what we can tell, it looks identical to the Essentia concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2016.

Next-gen Chevrolet Beat to arrive first, in early 2017.

At Auto Expo 2016, the Chevrolet Essentia sedan was unveiled in a near-production form. According to a report from Autocar India, the car's production version, which will be named 'Chevrolet Beat Essentia', will go on sale in India in March 2017.

The Chevrolet Beat Essentia's exterior and interior will be largely unchanged from the concept shown at Auto Expo 2016.

The Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be based on the next-gen Chevrolet Beat which will go on sale early 2017 before that. Testing is already underway, as seen in first spy shots from last week. It shares a few design cues with the fourth-gen global Chevrolet Spark introduced in 2015.

Touchscreen MyLink2 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual airbags, ABS and reversing camera have been officially confirmed for the Essentia. The semi-digital instrument panel consisting of an analogue speedometer and a driver information display of the concept will probably be seen in the production version as well.

The next-gen Beat and the Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be based on the current Chevrolet Beat's platform.
