Chevrolet Onix Activ, Chevrolet Onix facelift - In Images

Prices and equipment list to be revealed this week.

The Chevrolet Onix Activ and the facelifted Chevrolet Onix and Chevrolet Prima have been officially unveiled in Brazil. Images from their launch event give a close-up look at the new models from Chevrolet.

The Chevrolet Onix Activ will compete with the Hyundai HB20X, the Renault Sandero Stepway and the VW CrossFox.

On the outside, the new Chevrolet Onix (facelift) and new Chevrolet Prima (facelift) feature redesigned headlamps with LED daytime running lights, upper and lower grilles, foglamp housing and bumpers, and tweaked taillamp graphics. Inside, changes mainly revolve around new materials and colours. A noteworthy upgrade in the technologies offered is the incorporation of new generation MyLink infotainment system and reversing camera.

With the facelift, Chevrolet has introduced an adventure styled variant of the Chevrolet Onix hatchback, named 'Chevrolet Onix Activ'. The Onix Activ is characterized with a number of blacked-out and silver elements and body cladding on the outside, but its main benefit could be the extra capability of going through rough terrains with the slightly increased height.

The 2017 Chevrolet Onix and 2017 Chevrolet Prisma will reportedly be offered with a more frugal version of the current 1.0- and 1.4-litre flex-fuel engines.

Both models will reportedly get a new electric power steering and 6-speed manual transmission.
