Expected to be called the Chevrolet Prisma, the sedan will take on the Volkswagen Voyage, Fiat Sienna and the Toyota Etios sedan.

Autossegredos.com.br, the Brazilian automotive watchdog, brings us two renderings of the upcoming Prisma sedan. The Prisma is based on the same platform (GM’s GSV platform) as the Onix. It is very much like the Onix with the inclusion of a very small boot. The Brazilian publication reports that the boot may be a bit smaller than the competition.

The Prisma will be powered by a 1.4L flex fuel engine which generates 106 hp and 188 Nm of torque. Our Brazilian friends can choose from a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. All versions will have ABS brakes and front airbags as standard.

Autossegredos.com.br also reports that test production of the Prisma has already begun in GM Brazil's manufacturing  plant at Gravataí. Prices will be such that it will be positioned between the two existing sedans - Classic and Cobalt.
