Produces a class-leading torque of 500 Nm.
Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Mohit, snapped the Chevrolet Trailblazer testing in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh recently. Announced to launch in India this year, the Trailblazer is one of two all-new products announced by GM India, the other being the Spin MPV.
Sources tell Indian Autos Blog that the Trailblazer will be introduced towards the end of this year, and that GM India are awaiting the Thai plant to start production of the 2016 model year of the Trailblazer. Initially, the SUV will be imported through the CBU route.
For the Indian market, the Trailblazer will be powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder Duramax diesel engine capable of 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque, the latter being a class-leading figure. It will be paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, as seen in spyshot. However, GM would offer 2WD and 4WD variants of the SUV.
Leather seats with electric adjustment for the driver's seat, ABS, dual front airbags, HAC, a touchscreen Chevrolet MyLink entertainment system with navigation, DVD playback and a reverse camera, and projector headlights are some of the features that will be offered on the top-end LTZ variant.
