Custom Ford Everest - BIMS 2019 Live

A spruced up version of the 2019 Ford Everest (facelift), which went on sale in Thailand in July 2018, has been showcased at the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show. The facelifted SUV has been on sale in Thailand in a price bracket of 1,370,000 baht (INR 29,82,201) to 1,770,000 baht (INR 38,52,917).

The custom Ford Everest showcased at BIMS 2019 boasts an 'all-black' look that makes it look more aggressive.

The custom Ford Everest that has been put in display at the motor show features a custom look, which is courtesy of an all-black paint scheme and off-road-spec wheels that have been shod with all-terrain tires. In the side profile, the show car features a black plastic cladding and new footsteps with orange accents. The interior, which has been left untouched, has a dark-grey theme and all-black leather upholstery.

While the pre-facelift Thai-spec Ford Everest used to be available with the same 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre oil-burners that propel the Indian version, the updated model for Thailand features a new 2.0-litre motor that is available in single-turbo and bi-turbo configurations. Compared to the 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre engines, which produce 160 PS//385 Nm and 200PS/470 Nm, respectively, the 2.0-litre unit offers 180 PS/420 Nm with a single turbocharger and 213 PS/500 Nm with a bi-turbo setup.

The new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel and bi-turbo diesel units have been borrowed from the latest versions of the Ford Ranger and the new Ford Ranger Raptor, respectively. While the earlier set of engines were paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission each, the new motors come mated to 10-speed automatic units. The top-spec variant offers 4WD hardware.
