Yamaha R15 V3.0 with ‘black & yellow’ paint scheme spotted at a dealer
An authorised Yamaha dealership in Bangalore is offering a custom Yamaha R15 V3.0 with ‘black and yellow’ colour option. The exclusive images are shared by IAB reader Shreyas MA.
While we wondered if Yamaha has officially introduced a new paint scheme, the company was quick to clarify that “India Yamaha Motor has not launched a new colour option for the Yamaha R15 V3.0. This could be a dealer-level modification.” While there’s no word on the price of the one-off R15 V3.0, we expect it to come in at not more than INR 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Apart from the new shade and graphics, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 is untouched. The same dealership, in the past, has also offered customised YZF-R15 V3.0 bikes with various graphics kits.
Yesterday, we reported about the Yamaha R15 V3.0 ABS launching in Q1, 2019. The new safety rules mandates two-wheeler makers to introduce ABS on its range of vehicles above 125cc from April 1, 2019.

We are unsure whether Yamaha will opt for a dual-channel ABS kit or a cost-effective single-channel unit. Based on that, the prices of the ABS model will increase in the range of INR 10,000 to INR 20,000. Apart from the standard model, Yamaha also has the R15 V3.0 MotoGP edition in India, priced at INR 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
