The Dacia Duster's sister car, the Dacia Lodgy MPV, a prospect for the Indian market, received a special edition in France this week. Dubbed the Dacia Lodgy Silver Line, the budget MPV isn't going to disappoint with some stickers or new wheels.

Until now, Lodgy lovers who prefer gasoline engines could only choose the 1.6L engine to match their van. However starting today, they get a new option in the form of a 1.2L turbocharged TCe engine, launched on the Lodgy Silver Line edition.

The new engine delivers 115hp @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm @ 2,000 rpm. With high low end torque, its city friendliness is bound to improve. 0-100kph is claimed to have been dispatched in 10.5 seconds while Dacia says a top speed of 179 kph is possible. Fuel economy is not bad either with the five seater returning 16.6 kpl and the seven seater registering a respectable 16.12 kpl.

Moving our attention to its cabin, the Lodgy Silver Line gets

  • Front and rear bumpers in two-tone
  • Side protection strips
  • Roof Rack
  • Glossy gray finish to the central console
  • Door panels in two-tone
  • 15 inch wheels
  • Audio system with LCD screen and steering-mounted controls, MP3 CD player, USB jack and Bluetooth streaming capability.
  • Special black fabric cabin upholstery

The Dacia Lodgy Silver Line is priced at € 13,000 (10.07 lakhs) for the 5-seater version and € 13,950 (10.81 lakhs) for the 7 seater version.
