Datsun GO Live Concept - GIIAS 2017 Live
The Datsun GO Live concept based on the Datsun GO was unveiled today at the 2017 GIIAS. Datsun says the concept has been designed "specifically for young Indonesians who see customizing vehicles as a way of life".
The promotional video released by Datsun Indonesia for the concept encourages a proactive lifestyle, something that is also very well communicated by the GO Live's sneaker inspired looks. The grey 'camouflage' like livery along with a black roof and neon highlights are meant to mimic today's trendy clothes, shoes and accessories, says Datsun.
The nose of the Datsun GO Live Concept is sharper than the standard car. It features a single-piece hexagonal grille finished in black with one neon colour stud. The lower part of the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear roof spoiler, all feature neon highlights. The concept is also wider than the standard GO thanks to flared wheel arches. Bigger 17-inch alloys mean it rides higher as well. Also, present on the the GO Live concept are futuristic looking "canted" headlights and smoked tail lights.
Kei Kyu, Datsun's executive design director, said:
While this exciting vehicle is mainly a styling exercise – something that hints at the design language of future Datsun models – it's really something that serves as a valuable partner for the owners and celebrates their individual tastes and lifestyle.
Like the Indian market, the GO sold in Indonesia is powered by a 1.2 L petrol engine producing 68 PS and 104 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is the sole transmission option on offer.
