Nepal Live - Datsun Go showcased

Budget brand of Nissan debuts in Nepal.

Datsun premiered at the 2014 Nepal Auto Show (NADA 2014) by showcasing the Go hatchback. The Go is the first product for Datsun from its relaunch.

The Go is based on the Nissan Micra's V-Platform, and even comes powered by the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 67 bhp at 5,000 rpm and 10 kgm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The car has an ARAI-rated efficiency at 20.63 km/l. The hatchback measures 3,785 mm in length, 1,635 mm in width, 1,485 mm in height with a 2,450 mm wheelbase.

The Go in India is available in a choice of four exterior color options and four trim levels. The top-end variant is equipped with features such as AC, power steering, front power windows, Mobile Docking Station with USB and AUX-in, front speakers, central locking, full wheel covers and body colored door handles.

The car is made at the Renault-Nissan alliance plant located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It's Indian market launch was held in March this year.

The Go will be launched in the coming weeks for an expected price of under NPR 2 million (INR 12.43 lakhs)
