Datsun Redi-GO snapped in Chennai again - Spied

To to unveiled in the coming months.

NDTV Auto has posted some spyshots of the Datsun Redi-GO testing in Chennai. The model is expected to be unveiled and launched in May this year.

The Datsun Redi-GO is reported to get the 1.2-litre mill from Datsun GO.

The Redi-GO will be the entry-level model in Datsun's lineup, and the most affordable product in the entire Renault-Nissan Alliance's portfolio of cars in India. It is built on the same platform as the Renault Kwid, the CMF-A modular platform which was developed in India.

According to some reports, the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor that powers other Datsun cars including the GO and the GO+, as well as the Nissan Micra, will power the Redi-Go. This engine should be tuned for 20+ km/l on the small car, and will come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. An AMT (automated manual transmission) could be on the cards for the future.
