Nissan India has confirmed that the Datsun redi-GO will launch for sale on June 7. Initial units of the Datsun redi-GO have already begun to arrive at several dealerships.

The Renault Kwid shares its CMF-A platform with the Datsun redi-GO.

The Datsun redi-GO will be priced between INR 2.5-3.5 Lakhs, according to the Japanese manufacturer, and will rival the likes of the Maruti Alto 800 facelift and Renault Kwid. The latter vehicle shares its CMF-A platform with the redi-GO, although it is slightly shorter than the Renault Kwid’s 3,679 mm length. The redi-GO has a best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm.

The redi-GO is powered by a three-cylinder 0.8-liter petrol engine developing 54 hp at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm at 4,388 rpm, which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Not only is the redi-GO the fastest from 0-100 km/h (15.98 seconds) in its segment, but is also one of the most fuel efficient petrol hatchbacks in its segment, as it is capable of an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
