To benefit from the surge in car sales during this year's festive season, Datsun India recently introduced a special version of the redi-GO hatchback. Dubbed simply as the Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition, the limited-run model carries a host of cosmetic updates for its exterior and interior.

The Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition isn't available with the optional 5-speed AMT.

The Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition is available with both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options. Updates for the exterior include a contrast paint shade option for the roof and red and black body decals. The black-painted wheel caps get a streak of red paint. The grille has a dash of red, too. The interior receives dual-tone red-and-black leather upholstery, and chrome door handles. Rear parking sensors are standard.

The Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition has been priced at Rs 3.58 lakh* for the 0.8-litre variant and Rs 3.85 lakh* for the 1.0-litre version.

The Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition stays mechanically unchanged. It measures 3,429 mm in length, 1,560 mm in width, and 1,541 mm in height. The small car has a wheelbase of 2,348 mm and a boot space of 222 litres. The ground clearance is at 185 mm. The 1.0-litre engine variant produces a maximum power of 68 PS at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 91 Nm at 4,250 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Its ARAI-certified fuel efficiency stands at 22.5 kmpl. The 0.8-litre version offers a maximum power of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and a peak torque of 72 Nm at 4,386 rpm.

Speaking on the launch of the Datsun redi-GO Limited Edition, Peter Clissold, Vice President – Marketing at Nissan Motors India Pvt. Ltd. said,

This festive season, Datsun wants to make the celebration more special by delighting customers with the powerful and vibrant redi-GO Limited Edition. The refreshing design along with power packed performance is a testimony of our commitment towards customers to offer progressive mobility solutions.

The Datsun redi-GO's exterior is based on the brand's YUKAN design language.

Datsun India is currently readying the facelifted versions of the GO and the GO+ for the Indian market. With an average monthly sales figure of 2,026 units (March 2018 - August 2018), the redi-GO is far from registering the best-in-segment sales performance. The recently launched Limited Edition should help the carmaker find more buyers for its entry-level hatchback during this year's festive season.
