To rival the Maruti Alto 800.

The Datsun Redi-GO will be launched in this financial year, based on the CMF-A platform that birthed the Renault Kwid.

Codenamed the Datsun I2, the Redi-GO will be the third and the most affordable model in the Datsun lineup. Sharing the CMF-A platform from the Renault Kwid, the Redi-GO would be an all-new car in every aspect. IAB was informed that the A-segment hatchback will be powered by a new petrol engine and not the 0.8-litre SCe motor that is seen on the Renault Kwid. This engine is expected to be offered with the choices of a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed Automated Manual Transmission.
