Datsun redi-Go, Tata Tiago, Honda BR-V, VW Ameo contribute to sales success
Datsun redi-GO contributed to a 146 percent growth in sales for Nissan in July.
The Datsun redi-Go, Tata Tiago, Honda BR-V and VW Ameo have contributed upto 60% of their sales to the overall sales growth of their respective manufacturers in the month of July 2016.
The biggest contributor is the Datsun redi-GO, which helped Nissan achieve a staggering 146 percent growth in domestic sales in July. Priced from INR 2.38 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi), it comes as no surprise that the redi-GO is creating a buzz for Datsun in the market, although it hasn't been able to replicate the success of its French cousin - the Renault Kwid.
With Tata's Tiago hatchback, the company is registering a growth in domestic sales figures. In July, Tata sold 5114 units of Tiago, contributing 38% to the total sales of Tata Motors.
Similarly, the efforts in launching a sub-4m sedan with a VW badge has finally paid off as VW managed to push 2,200 units of the Ameo in July; the model accounted for 51% of the total sales of the company. This is despite the fact that the Ameo is only available in its petrol variant, while the TDI diesel variant is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. As for the Honda BR-V, the company managed to sell 3,333 units in July, accounting for 24% of Honda Cars's total sales.
