DC Avanti with blue exterior color spotted in Delhi - Spied

First ever mid-engined sports car made in India.

Famous design studio DC's first ever in-house developed car, the DC Avanti, has been spotted in Delhi. Finished in a tempting blue exterior shade complemented by shiny 20-inch silver rims, the model sports a temporary number plate which could mean that it's either a pre-production prototype or a dealer's test drive unit.

The Avanti measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, 1,200 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 170 mm, which is suitable for most Indian roads.

Powering the Avanti is a Ford-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine producing a peak power output of 248 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. Other than the Tata Nano, the DC Avanti is the least expensive car with the engine mounted behind the driver. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, and is capable of doing 0-100 km/h in under 8 seconds.
