Dealer billing of Ford EcoSport Signature & Ford EcoSport S commences - Report
Ford India will introduce the EcoSport Signature and EcoSport S models in India this month. The company has sent out a memo to dealerships stating billing of the additions to the facelifted Ford EcoSport range has commenced.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature features darkened headlamps and front skid plate, upper grille with magnetic-painted bars and surrounds, 17-inch machined-face painted wheels, black roof, sunroof, Ebony Black interior with copper accents and orange accent stitching and a 4.2-inch colour MID in place of the 2.3-inch monochrome MID.
The Ford EcoSport S will feature sunroof, blue interior accents and the new 9-inch infotainment system with navigation introduced just last month. More importantly, it will have a sport-tuned suspension and mark the comeback of the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine.
The 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine was tuned to deliver 125 PS at 6,000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 1,400-4,500 rpm in the pre-facelift. While the pre-facelift EcoBoost had a 5-speed manual transmission, the facelifted EcoSport EcoBoost will likely have a 6-speed manual transmission. Ford will offer its staple 1.5L TDCi diesel engine in the EcoSport S.

With the introduction of the new Ford EcoSport Signature and Ford EcoSport S, Ford will swap the Ford EcoSport Titanium+’s 17-inch alloy wheels with 16-inch alloy wheels. While the ride quality would improve with this step, customers will not benefit from a price cut.
