IAB Report - 707 PS Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world
The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat derives its 6.2-litre engine from the Challenger SRT Hellcat.
If one wants his family to enjoy the thrills of 707 PS while going for a trip, Dodge has got it covered.
The Chrysler-owned marque has introduced the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, that borrows the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine from the 2-door Challenger Hellcat, mated to an 8-speed autobox with paddle shifters.
Touted as the quickest and fastest sedan that was ever made, the insane figures help the car sprint from 0-160-0 km/h in under 13 seconds, complete a quarter mile in under 11-seconds, and reach a supercar-rivaling top speed of 328.3km/h (204mph).
And it's not just a powerful engine that differentiates the Hellcat from other variants; Dodge has also restyled the Charger Hellcat to look the part too. It features the "power-bulge" aluminum hood with a cold air intake and heat extractors, a new grille that joins the large LED headlamps, a trunk mounted rear spoiler and a dual exhaust system.
Inside, the performance theme continues with features like a digital instrument cluster that tells you vital performance details, an 8.4-inch central display that is powered by the UConnect system, sports seats wrapped in Nappa leather and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Production of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will be underway early next year, and pricing will be announced before the market launch.
