Entry-level Mahindra TUV300 Plus - In Images
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is scheduled to be officially launched in June as reported earlier this month. However, select customers have already taken delivery of the SUV and multiple sets of images have surfaced online. Here are images of the entry-level grade of the TUV300 Plus courtesy Team-BHP.
On the outside, the TUV300 Plus gets black front and rear bumper, door handles, and ORVMs. The grille is black as well and devoid of any chrome detailing. The tailgate-mounted spare wheel gets a black PU cover. Steel rims without any wheel covers can also be seen in the images here.
The cabin, finished in black and beige, does not get an integrated head unit. It does, however, get manual air conditioning. The seats are draped in light colours with dark inserts. The extra length behind the second row accommodates jump seats that can seat up to 4 passengers. In the entry-level P4 grade seen here, the TUV300 Plus offers side-facing seats. Some reports suggest that customers will have more seating layout options in other grades.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is essentially a stretched version of the TUV300 compact SUV. It measures 4,398 mm in length, 1,815 in width and 1,837 mm in height. However, at 2,680 mm, it has the same wheelbase as the Mahindra TUV300. It employs a 2.2-litre mHawk120 diesel engine that develops a maximum power of 88.26 kW (118.31 hp) at 4,000 rpm. The torque figure is likely to be around 280 Nm. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.
