CFMoto 300NK will be launching on July 4 and will get features like dual riding mode, LED headlamp, TFT instrumentation and USD fork.

Brought to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) the initial products will be in the 300 cc and 650 cc segments, namely the CFMoto 300NK, CFMoto 650NK, CFMoto 650MT and CFMoto 650GT. The Chinese manufacturer will be sending CKD kits to AMW Motorcycles in Bengaluru (Bangalore) for local assembly.

The CFMoto 300NK will be the most affordable model by the company initially. The bike is powered by a 292.4 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill. The DOHC, 4-valve engine can produce 34 PS of maximum power at 7,200 rpm and 20.5 Nm of torque at 8,800 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Keeping the weight under check, the bike tips the scales at 151 kg.

Key features include coloured TFT instrumentation, upside down front forks, LED headlamp and split seats. The 300NK will also be the first motorcycle in its class to feature dual riding modes (rain and sport). Competition to the naked streetfighter includes the retro-styled Honda CB 300R, BMW G310R and the Bajaj Dominar 400.

On the premium side of the spectrum, the CFMoto 650NK is powered by a 649.3 cc inline twin cylinder mill. The 8 valve, DOHC mill produces 70.7 PS of power and 62 Nm of torque. The bike strangely misses out on upside down fork, but the standard setup has been sourced from KYB. The ABS is from Continental. The lighting system, though, remains an LED unit while the tyres are sourced from Metzeler.

CFMoto 650MT gets upside down fork, unlike the naked version.

As for the 650MT and 650 GT, both carry the same powertrain, but as their name suggests, they have been developed for different purposes. The 650MT gets adjustable (only damping) upside down fork and tall windshield have been designed to allow the bike multi-terrain riding. However, do not consider this to be an off-roader.

The last motorcycle in phase 1 is the 650GT, which mates sporting personality with touring. The instrumentation is a 5-inch coloured TFT unit with self-adjusting backlight. Other features include manually adjustable windshield (up to 60 mm), 38 mm KYB forks (right side down) and dual riding modes (Touring and Sport).

The CFMoto 650GT offers two riding modes (Touring and Sport).

AMW initially plans to begin with a production capacity of 10,000 units which can be scaled up depending on performance. The company will be pricing these bikes attractively to take on the competition. More on that on 4 July from the launch venue.
