The facelifted Honda Jazz was launched globally last year and was expected to break cover locally in 2018. A new report from Livemint, however, suggests that the facelifted Honda Jazz is a no-go for our market.

The third-gen Honda Jazz had received a subtle refresh in mid-2017.

A person in the know of the development has told the business publication that the company has decided against introducing any new version of the Honda Jazz in India. It will focus on the second-best-selling model Honda WR-V and the next-gen Honda Amaze that will go on sale soon. “Honda has internally decided not to bring the new version or variant of Jazz in India since the product never managed to do well in the market,” the source said.

The third-gen Honda Jazz was revealed in mid-2013 and received its mid-life facelift in mid-2017. It arrived in India in mid-2015 and had a good start in the market. However, sales dwindled later because of tough competition from the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno. Last year (January - December 2017), Honda sold just 29,890 units of the car, no match to its rivals Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno.
