Watch the facelifted Porsche Panamera Hybrid in action [Video]

It's hardly been a couple of days since Porsche officially unveiled the facelift to the Panamera.

Unveiled back in 2009, the Panamera is the four door, four seater Porsche with a very usable boot. What it means is that your family and your dog can enjoy the legendary Porsche handling.

However, the Panamera did receive a lot of criticism from journalists world over on its oddball design. It was not the most appealing or sought after design and certainly did not get your pulse racing.

Through this midlife facelift, Porsche have tweaked almost every body panel on the car. The head lamps and tail lights are much sharper and resemble the updated Porsche family to an extent.

Mechanically, Porsche has added an all-new Hybrid variant to the Panamera. A 3.0-liter V6 engine is assisted by an electric motor providing a total power of 410bhp. And that makes the Panamera Hybrid go from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds while the top speed is 269km/h.

All this while returning a staggering 32.25km/l with less than 100gm of CO2 emitted per km is what Porsche is promising. The electric motors alone can drive the car at speeds up to 133km/h offering a stand alone range of about 18-35km.

The revisited Panamera lineup makes its public debut at Auto Shanghai which begins on the 20th of April.
