Spied - Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider undisguised, launches in Paris next week

Spyshots show the car with roof closed.

Like the previous 430 16M Scuderia, Ferrari will announce an open top version of their latest track-focused 458 Speciale that will be built in limited numbers, at the Paris Motor Show 2014 which opens on October 2. Seen here are a couple of undisguised images of the car from a private screening in Maranello, Italy, published by FB page CarsAndBusiness.

The 458 Speciale Spider will be the fastest open-top Ferrari in history.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider (tentative name) will be the fastest open top Ferrari ever built, till the time when Ferrari takes the wraps off the LaFerrari Spider. Interior changes include new seats and carbon fiber mats, while the exterior will sport stripes, like the regular 458 Spider.

While the 458 Speciale Coupe is offered with only a single wheel design, customers can choose between two new wheel designs as well as new stripe designs for further customization of their 458 Speciale Spider, reports say.

Ferrari is reportedly providing more customization options on the Spider than it did with the coupe.

Other than that, the super exclusive go-faster version of the open top Ferrari will share the its 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine from its coupe sibling which is tuned to send 605 PS (596.4 bhp) and 540 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Thanks to the Speciale's weight loss and more powerful engine, the car is capable of launching from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 325 km/h.
