Ferrari World Abu Dhabi inundated by Indian tourists

Back in 2010, Indian Autos Blog had the opportunity to visit Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Despite me not being a passionate Ferrari fanboy, I was mesmerized by the grandeur of this theme park which sits bang opposite to the Yas Marina Circuit.

This one-of-a-kind theme park celebrates the history of Ferrari as an F1 racing team and as a supercar maker. Carefully planned and constructed for over 5 years, Ferrari World finally opened its gate to visitors on Oct 28, 2010.

The theme park houses some exquisite Ferrari supercars and is home to the fastest accelerating rollercoaster in the world - the Formula Rossa. It has a top speed of 240 kilometers per hour (150 mph) and it reaches there in a mind boggling 4.9 seconds!

There are also other high-adrenaline rides and state-of-the-art simulators wherein you can test the boundaries of your guts.

All-in-all, it’s a petrolhead’s wet dream and is a must-experience theme park!

It seems that over the years, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has seen an increased number of footfalls from India. Bruno Wiley, sales director at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, confirms that Indians are their largest visitor base and a major source of income for the theme park.

It is not surprising to me at all. There is a considerable Indian population that works in the UAE province. They have relatives and friends from India visiting them for the vacations. It makes sense to visit Ferrari World because the theme park can keep you engaged for a whole day and for a nominal fee.

So the next time you visit the UAE, make sure you drop into this fun-filled destination that will enthrall you to your bones!
