Fiat Argo to go on sale in Brazil in May - Report

The Fiat Argo is commercial-ready now.

Yesterday it was confirmed that the Fiat Punto replacement that we have known as the 'Fiat X6H' will hit the Brazilian market with the name 'Fiat Argo'. According to a new report from Quatro Rodas, the Fiat Argo will go on sale in Brazil in May 2017.

Engine options will include the 1.0-litre FireFly, 1.3-litre FireFly and 1.8-litre EtorQ flex-fuel units. Attractive 1.0-litre FireFly, Attractive 1.3-litre FireFly, Essence 1.8-litre E.Torq Evo and Sporting 1.8-litre E.Torq Evo is the planned range.

The 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine develops 72 CV (72 hp) and 10.4 kgfm (101.99 Nm) of torque running on petrol and 77 CV (77 hp) and 10.9 kgfm (106.89 Nm) of torque running on ethanol. This engine model will have a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.

The 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine produces 101 CV (101 hp) and 13.7 kgfm (134.35 Nm) of torque running on petrol and 109 CV (109 hp) and 14.2 kgfm (139.25 Nm) of torque running on ethanol, and it will send power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or the 5-speed Dualogic automated manual transmission.

The Fiat Argo will have three engine options: 1.0-litre FireFly flex-fuel, 1.3-litre FireFly flex-fuel and 1.8-litre E.Torq Evo flex-fuel.

The 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine is tuned to deliver 135 CV (135 hp) and 18.8 kgfm (184.37 Nm) of torque running on petrol and 139 CV (139 hp) and 19.3 kgfm (189.27 Nm) of torque running on ethanol. For this engine model, 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are the transmission choices.
