Report - Fiat Avventura to come with 2 engine options, 205mm ground clearance
Base 1.2 petrol engine will not be seen on the car.
As Fiat prepares for the launch of the Avventura, which is expected to take place sometime in early October, more details and images of the production-spec car are available courtesy of Top Gear India.
The Punto Evo-based crossover will be available with two engine options - a petrol and a diesel. Fiat will not use the smaller 1.2-liter petrol engine in the Avventura, and will instead offer petrol variants of the car only with the 1.4-liter motor which is good for 89 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The diesel variant will use the 1.3-liter MultiJet engine, but will be available only in the higher state of tune producing 92 bhp and 209 Nm of torque.
Compared to the Punto Evo, engineers have worked on the Avventura to increase its ground clearance to 205 mm, which is 20 mm more than the Evo. Other features such as the externally-mounted spare wheel, roof rails, diamond-cut alloy wheels and nudge guards are seen on the outside.
