Fiat Punto Evo Abarth, Avventura Abarth spotted in India for the first time - Spied

Will be manufactured in India at the Ranjangaon plant.

A TeamBHP member has snapped the Fiat Punto Evo Abarth and Fiat Avventura Abarth on test, ahead of their market launches which is reported to take place by the end of this year.

The 1.4-liter T-Jet engine will produce nearly 135 bhp on these cars.

Fiat India will launch the Abarth brand in August by way of the Fiat 500-based 595 Competizione. Later in the year, the Italian car maker will introduce Abarth editions on the Punto Evo and the Avventura crossover.

Both cars will benefit from the 1.4-liter T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine, which according to reports, will produce as much as 135 bhp on these cars. The T-Jet badge is also visible on the bootlid of the Abarth Punto in spyshot. Over to the sides, designers have given the hatch graphics on the lower portion and larger 16-inch alloy wheels.

The VW Polo GT TSI will be the closest rival for these cars.

Cosmetic changes on the Abarth Avventura will be more subtle, so as to not change the pseudo-crossover look of the car. However, both cars are expected to get new seat covers with Abarth branding, Abarth-branded door sills and aluminium pedals.
